School Bus Treatment
Approximately 1,500,000 children ride school buses in Michigan every day. Buses are often overlooked as a breeding ground for environmental contamination, and with infectious diseases in schools making headlines across the country, parents and school officials are concerned. Good hygiene is always recommended, but proactive decontamination is fast becoming the way to address potential cross-contamination issues and reduce the threat of aggressive pathogenic microorganisms, such as MRSA, Staph, Salmonella, and E. Coli. It has never been more important to know how to effectively deal with these infectious diseases.
Third party testing has recently been conducted on various interior surfaces of a public school bus in Michigan. BioGreen USA treated the interior of the bus with their proprietary treatment utilizing an EPA Registered broad-spectrum disinfectant. Levels of mold and bacteria within the bus were obtained prior to treatment. Pre-test readings found elevated reading of bacterial contaminants, including mold. Samples taken 30 minutes after treatment found that the total bacterial concentration was reduced by between 75% and 89%, while total mold concentration was reduced by a full 90%.
